Over the past decade, Marathi films are breaking barriers and garnering much love and adulation around the country and the world over.  One such Marathi film ‘आईच्या गावात मराठीत बोल’ seems to have got the public and the film industry abuzz.

The trailer and music launch of ‘आईच्या गावात मराठीत बोल” was recently held in Mumbai in the presence of all actors, technicians and media. The trailer gives a glimpse of the film’s storyline, which is charming and refreshing with laugh-out-loud humor that has caught everyone’s attention.

The film’s protagonist, Samar (Omi Vaidya), will be seen as a slick NRI, who inspite of living abroad attempts to speak in his mother’s language – Marathi and How! He gets pressured by the sequence of events and is compelled to find a suitable Marathi bride. As he embarks on his journey to India, hoping to find the perfect Marathi mulgi to marry, his life takes a comical turn with a series of hilarious situations and eccentric characters he meets along the way. From quirky matchmaking attempts to zany family dynamics, each step in Samar’s (Omi Vaidya) search for a girl becomes a laugh-out-loud riot. As Samar navigates through the colorful and vibrant world of Marathi culture, he not only discovers the true meaning of love but also learns valuable life lessons about identity, acceptance, and the importance of embracing one’s roots.

The songs of the movie ‘ ‘आईच्या गावात मराठीत बोल” is under the music label of “Video Palace” while the music and background score is given by Avinash- Vishwajeet. Vaibhav Joshi has penned the catchy lyrics of the title song ‘आईच्या गावात मराठीत बोल’ and this heart-pounding song has been rendered in authentic Marathi voice by Swapnil Bandodkar, Vishwajeet Joshi, Manish Rajgire and Rohit Raut. The song ‘Tu Havishi’ is written by Vishwajeet Joshi. While the song sung by Rishikesh Ranade is creating a romantic atmosphere even in the film which is a feast of comedy.

Music Director Avinash – Vishwajeet expressed that the title song of ‘आईच्या गावात मराठीत बोल’ is humorous but kept equally meaningful which is apt to the film’s title.

Omi Vaidya will also be seen donning the Director’s hat while his excellent acting impression remains. Omi Vaidya and his co-stars’ easygoing demeanor in the film is sure to win the hearts of the audience. Omi Vaidya and Amruta Hardikar wrote the story, screenplay and dialogues of this film . The cinematography is done by Yogesh Koli and the compilation is handled by Mayur Hardas and Omi Vaidya.

Besides Omi Vaidya, the other cast include Sanskriti Balgude, Parth Bhalerao, Vidyadhar Joshi, Ila Bhate, Kishori Shahane, Uday Tikekar, Abhishek Deshmukh, Supriya Vinod, Neha Kulkarni, Omkar Thatte, Dhruv Datar, Saili Rajadhyaksha and Sudhir Joglekar in prominent roles.

The film is produced by Ahmed Lucan, Dr. Jaldeep Dalut, Pete Tormey, Nandini Minoche, Samia Ashraf, Dr. Puneet Chandak, Dr. Sumul Rawal, Monty and Tanu Pandey, Santosh Govindaraju, Martheswaran Solamuthu, Mike Kasin, Jasleen Ahluwalia, Rajan Vasudevan, Rajeev and Sheetal Shah, Sanjay Sehgal, Shaheen Gandhi, Steven Moreland, Supratim Dey and Uday Kumar.

The film is slated to release on 19th January all across Maharashtra.
