Shemaroo Umang, the latest channel from the house of Shemaroo launches its first original show, ‘Kismat Ki Lakiro Se’ at a media event held yesterday. The new series is a hindi heartland, which is a riveting tale of love, sacrifice and destiny that most couples can relate to. ‘Kismat Ki Lakiro Se’ will be aired on Shemaroo Umang from 5th September, 8 pm, Monday to Saturday.

The trailer of the show showcases the personalities of two sisters Shradha and Keerthi. Shradha played by Shaily Priya Pandey is a gentle, kind and caring girl contrary to her sister Keerthi, played by Sumati Singh, who is vivacious, independent and modern in her outlook. The show take the audience on a whirlwind journey of mysterious twists and turns which ultimately develops into a unique bond in this family drama which highlights the youths and adults co-existing in today’s time.

The lead cast includes Varun Sharma who has fan following through his distinguished roles in Sasural Simar Ka, Bhagyalaxmi; Shaily Priya who has played the lead role of Pavitra in Pavitraa Bharose Ka Safar, Splitsvilla – 9 fame Abhishek Pathania, and Sumati Singh who is known for her roles in Roop-Mard ka Naya Swaroop and Amma Ke Babu Ki Baby amongst others. The stellar performances by the star cast and the gripping narrative is sure to keep the audiences glued to their television screens.

Launched in April this year, Shemaroo Umang is the recent addition to Shemaroo’s existing portfolio of Free to Air channels, Shemaroo TV and Shemaroo MarathiBana. Shemaroo Umang is available on all leading cable networks and DD free dish.
